In this day and age, knowledge is right at our fingertips. In celebration of National Online Learning Day, check out these three spots that our fingertips go tippity tapping at to learn something new while making ourselves better!
First off, YouTube. Even with going to college, most of us agree we learned more from watching Youtube tutorials than from Professor What’s His Name Again’s History 101 offering. Think about it. YouTube’s there whenever you need it – like at 11:30pm when you have 29 minutes to complete an assignment but Photoshop hides all your tools somewhere. It also has just about everything and anything you might need a tutorial for, from art tutorials, math, walk-throughs, and even lessons on how to start a small business. Best of all… it’s free.
Second up is our partner HubSpot. Hubspot has a free online learning platform called HubSpot Academy. It is the worldwide leader in inbound marketing, sales, and customer service/support training. They offer everything from quick videos to full courses that can get you certified in anything from sales and strategy to design and development… not to mention being able to master the HubSpot software itself. You can find courses for everyone from beginner entrepreneurs to company CEO’s. This is where we look to see new marketing trends to keep up to date. While a vast majority are free, some do need an active HubSpot membership.
Last but not least, Skillshare. Skillshare is an online learning platform that allows you to learn at your own pace. They have a wide variety of classes available. Whether you want to learn about graphic design or watercolors, or even business and administration, there’s some valuable schtuff for ya! Many of the teachers are industry pros such as Aaron Draplin , Roxane Gay, and Jessica Hisch , so you can be sure to get real tips and tricks from people in the know! Skillshare offers its first month free when you first sign up, and after that they offer a monthly or a yearly membership to their thousands of classes.
At the end of the day, there are oodles and oodles of these online learning resources for you to tippity tap your fingers at. The game is always changing… and those that don’t continuously improve by using resources that are available will simply fall behind…maybe leaving their fingertips looking for a place or two to stick them!
Give us a shout for more tips.
