Nudity.
I often think to myself that if I was better looking I’d be a lot more comfortable with being naked, but as it stands, I’m still taken off guard when I see a reflection of myself in the mirror while getting out of the shower.
Some people thrive in the nude. In fact I’ve had several friends throughout my years that loved being naked.
Take Yuka, my Japanese friend that lives in Vancouver. She gifted me with a picture of her bare backside for my 19th birthday.
Or Britney whom I worked with at a department store that offered to give me a “sexy nude photo that was made into a puzzle” with which I replied to with “I’m not that good with puzzles”. A response that I kick myself till today for saying.
So, on this work naked day, I will remain clothed. Not just because “HR” has told me that I can’t be naked in front of the staff anymore, but because it’s cold in my office due to it being February.
On to the Nexus 6 scale.
As a marketing agency I’ve always said that we need to be able to adapt and change to mimic and effortlessly blend into the narrative that our clients want to tell. That often means adjusting to a different culture, mindset, and comfort level of those that we are working with.
Some are more comfortable with a full suit and tie. Some are Yuka.
I came up with a simple method of determining someone’s comfort level in the form of the Statue of David. A somewhat accurate depiction of me. Traditionally, Dave has…er, how should I say this…his knob out, but nowadays that’s not cool, just ask Louis C.K. (too soon?).
Hence, the simple point to the clothing you are comfortable with, ranging on a scale of Nexus 1 (uptight and boardroom) to Nexus 6 (rock out with your…favorite music playing).

The scale is quite scientific, as I made it while wearing a lab coat.
Now, although we operate on a Nexus 6 scale (even a Nexus 7-8 in Tori’s dreams) we can comfortably scale and adjust to anyone’s level of comfort.
So, regardless if you are Wall Street or streaking, the Nexus crew can adjust to you.
